Bern, 15.02.2023 – At its meeting on 15 February 2023, the Federal Council adopted its statement on the draft of the Committee for the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy of the National Council (UREK-N) on the parliamentary initiative 20.433 “Strengthening the Swiss circular economy”. The revision centers on the creation of new provisions in the Environmental Protection Act (EPA). The Federal Council supports the UREK-N proposal, which aims to close material cycles more consistently in the future. At the same time, it is proposing several adjustments to parliament.
