The European Parliament will vote on the compromise proposal for the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) on 24.04.2024. After many discussions in the parliamentary committees and controversial proposals from the Commission, Parliament and Council, an agreement was reached in the trilogue negotiations on March 4, 2024, which is now before the European Parliament for a vote. The European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) welcomes the agreement and supports the adoption of the proposed agreement, even if it involves numerous compromises, particularly in the area of packaging reuse. To the EPAL press release
