55th Swiss Packaging Award 2024 – These are the winners of the Swiss Packaging Award 2024

Olten, October 17, 2024. The winners of the Swiss Packaging Award 2024 have been announced: seven companies received the prestigious Swiss Packaging Award today for their innovative packaging solutions at the award ceremony in Hotel Olten. The evening was hosted by Philippe Dubois, President of the SVI, together with jury president Stefan Jüde. The Swiss Packaging Institute held the competition for the 55th time.
A total of 37 packaging solutions were submitted by 25 different participants. The sustainability category was again particularly well represented with 20 submissions and reflects the requirements of the times: packaging companies must develop recyclable, reusable and recyclable packaging. The large number of entries shows that the Swiss packaging industry is tackling these challenges with pioneering solutions. The Audience Award, sponsored by the EMPACK packaging trade fair, went to Andreas Kopp AG for its innovative “King Penguin with pull-out mechanism” packaging solution for its customers Jakobs Basler Leckerly / Zoo Basel. The Audience Award is voted for by consumers rather than the jury.
SVI Managing Director Andreas Zopfi highlighted the high level of innovation in the Swiss packaging industry and congratulated the sector on its progressive and goal-oriented approach to sustainable packaging solutions. The winners of the Swiss Packaging Award automatically qualify to take part in the World Star Award of the World Packaging Organization.
The Swiss Packaging Institute presents the Swiss Packaging Award every year in recognition of outstanding achievements in the packaging industry. The aim of the competition is to showcase the creativity and innovative strength of the Swiss packaging industry. Companies can submit their packaging solutions in the categories of sustainability, convenience, design, marketing, technology / construction / machine solutions and reusable packaging / systems. The latter category is new and aims to meet the requirements of the legislator. Two packaging solutions have been nominated per category, one of which will be chosen as the winner. Packaging of all materials is eligible for the competition. The focus is on promoting and recognizing holistic packaging solutions, regardless of the packaging material.
