After the successful premiere in 2024, the second edition of CHEESEAFFAIR in Aarau was able to seamlessly build on this success. Visitors, exhibitors and organizers were extremely satisfied after two intensive days at the trade fair. This year, 112 cheese dairies and technology suppliers presented themselves to around 730 trade visitors from retail, gastronomy and the cheese industry in the sold-out Alte Reithalle in Aarau, which corresponds to an increase of 15%. Particularly pleasing was the once again high presence of important major customers as well as the participation of international guests who were specifically invited. The consistently positive response confirms CHEESEAFFAIR as a permanent fixture in the Swiss cheese industry’s trade fair calendar and ensures its continuation in February 2026.
The second edition of CHEESEAFFAIR was also convincing across the board. The variety of products and innovations presented was impressive. In addition to classic Swiss cheeses, new creations and technical developments in cheese production were presented. Particularly noteworthy was the growing interest in sustainable production methods and alternative maturing techniques, which were presented by the exhibitors with great commitment. In addition, suppliers from the fields of technology, accessories and ingredients offered new solutions that provided cheese producers with valuable impetus for their work. The SVI Managing Director also had the opportunity to speak in the forum about the importance of packaging.
The proven stand concept, which is designed for an efficient and attractive presentation, was once again praised by the exhibitors. It enabled both established companies and smaller cheese dairies to present their products on an equal footing. Visitors were able to experience the variety of flavors in a relaxed atmosphere and find out about the latest trends in the industry.
The specialist presentations and discussion panels were another highlight. Experts from the cheese industry spoke about current topics, technological advances and quality standards. The presentations on food pairings in particular met with great interest. CHEESEAFFAIR has therefore not only established itself as a marketplace for cheese products, but also as a knowledge and innovation platform.
The networking evening with over 350 participants was an appreciated highlight of the first day of the trade fair. The relaxed atmosphere provided the ideal opportunity for personal exchanges and valuable discussions. Thanks to the support of Switzerland Cheese Marketing and the industry association Fromarte, excellent catering and atmospheric musical entertainment contributed to an all-round successful evening.
The Alte Reithalle in Aarau once again proved to be the ideal venue. Its excellent accessibility and inviting atmosphere contributed significantly to a positive trade fair experience for everyone involved. CHEESEAFFAIR 2025 was thus able to build on its success and consolidate its role as the leading trade fair for the Swiss cheese industry.
With the broad approval to continue the trade fair in 2026, the organizers, above all SGWH, are optimistic about the future. CHEESEAFFAIR will remain a central meeting point for the industry and a valuable platform for sales promotion and networking.
