Walke AG, based in Herisau, will become part of Peyer Group AG, based in Zug, with effect from January 2026. With this takeover, the internationally active group of companies is strengthening its expertise in the areas of packaging, specialty papers and finishing.

Walke AG, Swiss industrial expertise with a long tradition.
Walke was founded at the end of the 19th century and stands for over 140 years of Swiss expertise in paper and cardboard production. The company has developed from traditional paper to high-quality materials and processes with high added value and today supplies demanding customers from the packaging and industrial sectors.
In recent years, Walke has undergone targeted modernization with the participation of Antama Groupe. By investing in technology, organization and processes, the company has been able to further expand its position with demanding industrial customers in Switzerland and abroad.

Focus on continuity and customer proximity
Walke AG will continue to be managed independently at its current locations in Herisau AR and Givisiez FR. The operational management will remain on board and ensure continuity and the continuation of proven customer relationships.

The transition to the new ownership structure will take place with effect from January 2026 and without any changes for customers, employees or ongoing business processes.
