Eighteen packaging solutions across six categories are in the running for the prestigious Swiss Packaging Award. The winners will be announced on September 10, 2026. The Swiss Packaging Institute (SVI), as the organizer of the competition, will present the awards.
A total of 32 packaging solutions were submitted by 20 different participants. Three entries were received for the Young Talent Award, in which high school and college students can present their packaging ideas. The sustainability category was once again particularly well-represented with 14 entries, reflecting the demands of the times: Packaging companies are under enormous pressure to meet the environmental and sustainability requirements mandated by lawmakers. The innovative nature of the submissions shows that the Swiss packaging industry is doing its part.
Each year, the Swiss Packaging Institute presents the Swiss Packaging Award to recognize outstanding achievements in the packaging industry. The goal of the competition is to showcase the creativity and innovative strength of the Swiss packaging industry. Companies can submit their packaging solutions in the categories of sustainability, convenience, design, marketing, technology/construction/machinery systems, and reusable packaging/reusable systems. Three packaging solutions are nominated in each category, and one is selected as the winner. Packaging made from any material is eligible for the competition. The focus is on promoting and recognizing holistic packaging solutions, regardless of the packaging material.
