JIG General Assembly –
The Platform for Regulations, Compliance, and Packaging Safety
The Joint Industry Group on packaging safety (JIG) of the Swiss Packaging Institute SVI is a packaging-neutral association of various interest groups with the intention of driving forward work in the area of packaging safety and implementing regulations. The relevant interest groups, in particular the packaging industry along the value chain, authorities and enforcement bodies as well as industry associations, work together to develop economically viable solutions and concepts for the entire packaging industry.
The specialist group serves as an exchange platform in which ongoing projects are discussed, fields of action are debated and possible solutions are discussed. The group decides whether new projects should be initiated. The project solutions are primarily available to members and supporters.
Members of the JIG meet at least twice a year to exchange ideas, identify fields of action and use the exchange platform among like-minded people
