The circular economy is characterized by the fact that raw materials are used efficiently and for as long as possible. If it is possible to close material and product cycles, raw materials can be used again and again. This benefits both the environment and the Swiss economy. Packaging protects products from defects, destruction and spoilage and thus makes a valuable contribution to the preservation of valuable raw materials.
