For years, Article 35 of the Swiss Commodities Ordinance has stipulated what printing inks may consist of if they are to be used for printing on food packaging. Since February 1, compliance must be verified. To ensure that the necessary information can be passed on uniformly along the supply chain, the Swiss Packaging Institute SVI has published a guideline via its Joint Industry Group and with the involvement of the FSVO: the “Guidelines for the interpretation of the Swiss Ordinance on Printing Inks”.
