1. Education and courses:
1.1 Payment of the course fee
After you have registered for a course, you will receive a confirmation from us. Registration obliges you to pay the course fee. Failure to pay the course fee does not count as cancellation. You will receive a detailed invoice before the start of the event.
The payment deadlines must be observed.
1.2 Course organization
For organizational reasons, we reserve the right to postpone or combine classes or to change the venue. If a course leader fails, the school management can change the course leader or appoint a deputy.
1.3 Course places and implementation
In order to be able to carry out our courses under optimal conditions, we usually set a minimum and a maximum number of participants. Course places will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received (subject to timely payment). If there are not enough participants, the course can be postponed to a later date.
If a class is short, it may happen in individual cases that we hold the course subject to the consent of the course participants, but have to increase the course fee accordingly.
1.4 Course Exclusion
The school management reserves the right to exclude one or more course participants from a course for serious reasons. If you are excluded from the course, the course fee will not be refunded.
1.5 Opt-outs
Canceling a course involves organizational and administrative work. Depending on the time of deregistration, we can waive the course fee in whole or in part. Please note the following regulation:
For courses up to 600 francs:
If you cancel in writing up to 14 calendar days before the start of the course, we can waive or refund you the course fee, whereby a processing fee of CHF 100 will be charged. If you cancel less than 14 calendar days before the start of the course, the entire course fee must be paid.
For courses over 600 francs:
In this case, we need a written cancellation of the course from you. The date of receipt of your letter at the SVI secretariat counts as the date of receipt. The waiver or refund of your course fee is regulated as follows:
Cancellation Time Cancellation Fee
Up to 30 calendar days before the start of the course: CHF 180 processing fee
From 29 to 15 calendar days before the start of the course: 50% of the course fee
From 14 calendar days to one day before the start of the course: 80% of the course fee
After the course has started: No waiver or refund of the course fee.
The SVI reserves the right to offset claims from third parties for accommodation, meals, travel, etc.
1.6 Missed Lessons
