These are the packaging nominees for the Swiss Packaging Award 2023
The nominees for the Swiss Packaging Award 2023 have been announced. 21 packaging solutions in six categories and two special categories can hope to win the prestigious Swiss Packaging Award. The winners will be announced on June 1, 2023. The Swiss Packaging Institute SVI, which organizes the competition, will present the awards at the AHA Aarau.
A total of 48 packaging solutions were submitted by 34 different participants. These included four entries for the Young Talent Award, in which school pupils and students can present their packaging ideas. The special jury prize, to be awarded for the first time, is presented for outstanding packaging. The sustainability category was again particularly well represented with 27 submissions and reflects the demands of the times: packaging companies are under enormous pressure to develop recyclable and reusable packaging, especially in the plastics sector. The large number of submissions shows that the Swiss packaging industry is doing its homework.
Every year, the Swiss Packaging Institute presents the Swiss Packaging Award in recognition of outstanding achievements in the packaging industry. The aim of the competition is to showcase the creativity and innovative strength of the Swiss packaging industry. Companies can submit their packaging solutions in the categories of sustainability, convenience, design, marketing, technology / construction / machine solutions. A maximum of three packaging solutions will be nominated per category, one of which will be chosen as the winner. Packaging of all materials is eligible for the competition. The focus is on promoting and recognizing holistic packaging solutions, regardless of the packaging material. The special jury prize was introduced this year.
